These large collages are derived from shapes taken from images of Henry Moore sculptures and the lines are collage outlines of those same shapes. My collages are made from images of historic artworks that I mine from books, auction catalogs, and magazines. I am drawn to their various shapes, colors and textures, which I then deconstruct to create wholly new forms and narratives. I'm interested in the tension between figuration and abstraction and how 2D forms can occupy, define and create space.
