My work is imbued with the beauty I find in urban landscapes. I am attracted to the images and textures that have occurred over time on buildings and objects, through the effects of humans and nature. I create my work through the manipulation of collage, as well as oil and acrylic paints, and drawing pencils. This painting depicts dream-disguised elements that evoke an unconscious, mystical lyricism. The palette suggests a cosmic sense of vastness with floating orbs along with an obscured, seemingly seductive female form. This is the first painting in which I use this condensed, quasi-pointillism type, repetitive mark-making technique that almost appears to fold like fabric. This texture is the only grounding element in an otherwise other-worldly landscape.

STATEMENT
My work is imbued with the beauty I find in urban landscapes. I am attracted to the images and textures that have occurred over time on buildings and objects, through the effects of humans and nature. I create my work through the manipulation of collages, as well as oil and acrylic paints, and drawing pencils. No certain sense of what will come next, images manifest yet remain undetermined. The meaning in my work is irreducible to a single thought or idea. It is as abstract as it is significant.
