Sterling Pride

Commissioned by the City of Sterling Heights, I designed and painted, “Sterling Pride,” using acrylic outdoor paint on the back wall of a BP gas station situated on the corners of 18 Mile and Utica Road. I completed the mural during the summer of 2018. This colorful image, spanning about 15 ft. x 63 ft., depicts a mother bear and her cub to represent the Marshall Fredericks sculpture, in front of the library, across the street from the mural and the community’s families. The globe represents the growing diversity in the community and the waves represent the Clinton River that runs throughout the City.
