Feathers and Fur

One of the things I do when the world is more than I can take, is head into the woods for the peace I find there or to cuddle with my dogs.

Cleared for Landing. It had been some time since I went into the forest to visit my little friends. I always carry sunflower seeds and they come to take them right out of my hand. However, you can't take their picture when your other hand is holding a camera with a 300mm lens, so I have always worn this hat and walked into the park with seed on the brim. The birds fly around my face and drop onto the hat for a seed before flying off, leaving me with the wind and sound of their wings surrounding me. When I reach a good place to perch the hat I step back to shoot as Chickadees, Tufted Titmouses, Cardinals, Woodpeckers and others line up for a treat.
