"Poppies" is a vibrant, colorful and intense. This was painted while clawing out of the deepest darkest recesses of grief. Finding happiness in color and texture because her world had become so flat and dull.

STATEMENT
Michigan has an amazing color palette, and the change in seasons inspire me. This inspiration is reflected in pieces that are textured or colorful. I also like to play with movement of light and shadows. My favorite subjects to paint are trees and landscape. My favorite tool to paint with is a palette knife.
