Born and raised on the west side of Detroit. I have practiced some form of art for most of my life, however I began to work with wood in 5th grade wood shop. I have spent 35 years as a custom cabinet maker/ finish carpenter, and have been fortunate to be a part of creating beautiful environments throughout Detroit and the United States. Art has become a philosophy for living a better life. I now practice multiple mediums, and will continue to learn more as long as I can. My art is meant for sharing, and more often than not- using. I love to talk about art, and meet new artist's- it is a comfortable environment for me. Over the years I have collected fall off's and scraps from many job sites. Most of those pieces have become bowls, vases, or picture frames, the rest become firewood. During the last economic dismay, we all faced some how, I went back to school. Now, 12 years later, I'm better prepared to create full form environments, through multiple disciplines.
