Tell us about yourself! I am a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, received my K-12 Teaching Certificate at Oakland University School of Art Education, and my Masters in Educational Studies from Oakland University.  I have always treasured the creative process, and I especially enjoy working with my hands while experimenting in mediums such as jewelry, metal work, woodworking, and ceramics.  Art is developing an idea from the mind’s eye into a concrete, tactile, visual expression of the imagination, molded and influenced by unique life experiences and talents.  I believe art is central to the human experience—a vehicle for the creative expression and communication of emotions and ideas.  Currently I am a teacher and my goal is to provide my students with the tools to explore a deeper understanding of themselves and who they aspire to be.  I enthusiastically nurture their individual talents and support their creative endeavors along the path of self-expression.  Ultimately, this journey of discovery will provide my students with the self-confidence to express their ideas, pursue their goals, and become life-long learners.  I am proud to be part in developing future artists and making this world a more creative place.
