So here goes nothing. Just posted a preliminary price guide for my photography. Pricing one’s work is just about the hardest thing to reconcile. Is it too much, too cheap, too high, too low, not worth it, worth every penny, etc. It’s agonizing! Open to any and all comments, advice and so forth.

    • As Andrea teaches, pricing is more than just a number… A LOT goes into setting pricing for artwork. If you’d ever like to learn step-by-step how to price, contact her and you and she can set up a consulting session through her Detroit Art & Business Institute. In fact, she’s offering a 10% discount to Portfolio Review ticket holders when they register.

    • Hi Gwendolyn – yes pricing is very difficult especially as it’s OUR work… and very personal to us. We want to show our value but we also want to sell, so what do we do? There’s actually a formula that’s paired with a bit of research (that each artists should do anyway…). I’d be happy to guide you if you were interested. ~Andrea
