Back in 1994 I was listening to a lot of jazz guitar by Emily Remler. Sadly, she had died in 1990 at age 32. I loved the painting of her on a CD I had and called the record label to see if I could get a print. They said prints weren’t available, but they thought the original painting was! Wow, cool! I called the artist’s studio/gallery. Her name is Bruni. The painting was available, but was a little more than I wanted to spend. Her rep contacted me later and said they would include another original jazz painting for the price they had given me earlier! Perfect!! I picked a Bill Evans piece, one of my favorite jazz pianists. As an art buyer, I was thrilled. Sometimes, as an artist, if you give a buyer a little incentive, you’ll make a sale and make somebody happy!
