I met with friends/colleagues yesterday to catch up and set our 2019 goals (intentions) and one of us stated that live/work balance was a HUGE goal and saying “no” to opportunities that didn’t serve her life was the first step. Saying “no” is imperative if you want to streamline and move forward.

Yeah, I can’t figure out these “categories” of age…[Read more]

Yay! Can’t wait to meet you! One piece per person (Galerie Camille has pedestals for 3D works). Yes, all guests pay to enter but EC Members pay less because they’re in our community! People can sign up for the event using the Let’s Meet page or at the door. Are you going to bring this piece?

Oh jeesh… title. That’s probably the most difficult part for me. “Serpentine”? (move or lie in a winding path or line)

Good question, Aleksandra – Because I knew I wouldn’t be living with my work anymore (and couldn’t take it with me) sanding it down wasn’t too difficult. Marina is correct – it’s the process: The result is for someone else. I think everyone needs to make and destroy their art, once in a while.

Howdy Quintin! Thrilled to have you here and thank you for RSVP’g to our next Mix With a Maker. I’m going to begin promoting it next week – hope to get as many artists exhibiting their work in the gallery, as last month. 🎨

Excellent, thank you for sharing your digital printing workshop, Chris! Oh hey, do you want to place this in the Digital Art Group? (forgot the actual group name) – you may get targeted interest there and they will receive a notification.

This is a painting I did on the wood floor of my foyer when I lived on the East Coast. The phoenix represented rebirth after my divorce. Unfortunately, my realtor had me sand it off before we put my house up for sale… (I should have said, “no” and left it as is.) 000_0748

    • This is beautiful!!

    • Love It

    • Beautiful. What a shame your realtor suggested you do that.

    • That looks unreal! And the meaning is very strong. How was it for you to experience a process of clearing a history of your artwork?

Reminds me on the lesson that Marina Abramovic experienced at very first class with her art teacher – create a collage, explain what it means to you, and destroy it next day. As she said, that’s how she learned…[Read more]
