Become a Chapter Director

It takes a community to empower artists and creative businesses, helping them to find their value and become stronger, together.

Become a Director and start an EC Chapter in your community with these resources.

Embrace Creatives’ Founder, Andrea Bogart, her entire team of Champions and our other Chapter Directors are incredibly excited about your interest in starting an Embrace Creatives Chapter.  Running a Chapter in your city, town or university can be one of the most rewarding experiences in your personal and professional career and it allows you to earn money and help others prosper as well. It takes work being a leader and empowering others, but we do our best to equip you with the tools, resources and knowledge to help you build a successful, local Embrace Creatives Chapter.

Let’s get you set up in a lead role! We’ve built a mindful and supportive intake process so you can determine if the commitment and opportunity is right for you and so we can make sure that you’re a good fit for the empowerment responsibility we take so very seriously.

CHAPTER TYPES

Educate, inspire and connect artists and creative businesses by becoming an Embrace Creatives Director. Join other leaders and make a long-lasting impact in your community!  There are 2 types of EC Chapters; one for communities and one for universities. Each has its own set of requirements;

Chapter Director

Every artist, maker and designer is deserving of education, connections and opportunities. We want to empower MILLIONS of creatives and even though smaller cities might not be able to sustain monthly events, almost any city can connect with our network.

As an Embrace Creatives Chapter Director you will host a minimum of 5 events/year and have an impact on the creative ecosystem where you live.  We provide you the types of events you can choose from but we’d love for you to suggest your own, based upon the needs of your community.

Our goal is that you begin with one event per quarter then move up to one per month and along the way, we ask that you tap volunteers to support your project management.

Here’s a list of the types of events you’ll be expected to create and manage;

  • Mix With a Maker, pop-up exhibit & networking
  • Feedback Forum (peer-to-peer critiques)
  • Creative FUEL, art business speaker series
  • Portfolio Review (one-per-year)
  • Accountability Sessions

The majority of these events are no more than 2 hours long and best done in person but a few can be virtual or have virtual components. We expect our Directors to create their own event imagery but we’ll share our EC style sheet for colors and typography and a few free tools you can use if you need it.

Each Director and their Ambassadors will build a marketing promotion around each event that EC Headquarters will help promote. If you need guidance building the campaign, we’ll get you set up. We’ll also get your events to our Digital Ambassadors to help spread the word for you!

Although there are a few events we expect you to run, like Creative FUEL and Mix With a Maker, the others are optional and you can build up to the larger, Portfolio Review. We welcome your new event ideas to test inside your Chapter community. If they are successful, we may replicate them nationally.

University Director

Still enrolled in a University or College? Eager to do more to support your art network to help prepare them for life beyond college (yourself included)?

Join our global network as one of our Embrace Creatives University Directors to power up your resume and gain an unforgettable experience that will help you and other students as they work their way into the wider world.

As a University Director you will host free events throughout the school year (3+ events/year) with successful artists, commercial businesses, local Associations and academics at your university to educate, inspire and connect your classmates, faculty members and all the others in your creative ecosystem.
