new order’

’new order’ is 1 of 2 of my most recent Large Works, and the most viewed & showed piece I have. In open calls it has been selected in 2 of 3 submittals; I have stopped submitting it during Covid, as I prefer for people to see it in person. The piece also has an interesting story in that it was made simultaneously while I was working on a political poster painting that I was doing when I lost the ability to handle even one more tweet from trump (w/ a small ‘t’). Given the orderly, architectural designs of my initial shown work, this was the complete opposite and offered a perspective of the ‘new world order’ a cantankerous, dark, and rather random view of the world in its new sort of order. The way I see this piece is that it can be political and/or Not, and really is one of my most interesting and intricate works to date. The depth & shadows that occur when this piece is properly lit are even more diverse and alluring than anything I could have imagined when it was conceived. (Note: shipping is an estimate, & depends on details; arrangements to be mutually agreed upon at the time of sale)

Wall Art
velvet black acrylic painted wood

I see life in shapes and forms, angles and perspectives – always have and I’m sure I always will. My work accentuated by lighting & shadows is contemporary and abstract; yet my sculptures and art come from my soul and are created with a deep sense of humanity and warmth which many viewers have shared with me when they see my creations in person. The work is dynamic and engaging, and shifts depending on the lighting and on one’s point of view, personal background and life experiences. I hope that it can encourage a conversation among viewers that allows for an exchange of differing perspectives, both literally and figuratively. My designs are an esoteric response to the world I see daily, and my need to reflect that in both an orderly and disorderly art form, which often helps me to deal with both the beauty and senselessness I see in today’s world; in some way they are my “hope for humanity”.
