This is the same tree, and the same moment from my TopTree 101. As the cloud moved around my favorite tree I snapped this second photo. The cloud hugged the tree in a way that felt familiar and so loving. On this image, I decided to make the colors pop a little harder. I wanted to make it feel a bit more vibrant, a little bit louder. Every-time I see this picture, I can still hear the wind and feel the warm summer air. I hope you feel it too. Available on Canvas or Paper. About Artist
STATEMENT
It is my goal to bring a sense of nostalgia to my photographs. Like laying in a wagon, or on top of a hill and watching the clouds go by, or capturing a moment of childhood that we all can connect to. My hope is these images bring moments of peace, calm reflection, and a sense of belonging to the greater “us”. That is what happens to me in these moments, and I wanted to capture the magic that called me there.
