Champagne Taste

Winter sets in hard and cold in Michigan, and when it does, it is time to create in the studio. This image is one of a series created using a macro lens and useful kitchen ingredients. Lighting is key. It’s fun to search out encapsulated little worlds floating around and around. It is also a challenge to capture them – they are moving quite quickly! This tiny still life mimics the great unknown and vast cosmic universe – both equally undiscovered and mysterious. I love the geometry of the circles, hinting at the great cycle of life.
