When I was at the Cape Peninsula in South Africa it was quite windy and the waves were crashing on the shore. While climbing to the lighthouse at Cape Point there is a landing where you look down on Diaz Beach. I loved what I saw and started taking photographs to capture the turbulent action of the waves that were exhilarating and calming to me at the same time.

STATEMENT

I am happiest when I am traveling, exploring new places, meeting people, and creating memories. Photography is an essential part of the experience – ask anyone who knows me. As a nature and abstract photographer, I am constantly inspired by the world around me. Whether it's the intricate patterns of a leaf, the movement of water, or the ethereal quality of a sunset, I strive to capture the beauty and wonder of the natural world in my work. My photographs are meant to transport viewers to a different place, inviting them to see the world in a new light. I am always seeking out new and creative ways to interpret the world through my lens, and I hope that my work will inspire others to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us every day. My technique and joy is to capture the stark and finite beauty of the departing moment, when the ordinary becomes the extraordinary, when the real appears unreal.
