We are not objects, but processes

Artwork Tags:

"We are not objects, but processes" (2021) is an evocative abstract painting on paper that gracefully balances the ethereal with the structured. The canvas is set against a serene backdrop of soothing blue which is wrapped up in a cloud of white. Geometric lines crisscross the composition, creating a tapestry of intricate connections. These lines intersect and diverge, adding a sense of order and precision to the otherwise fluid and expressive color palette. The red, circular slashes, in particular, weave a delicate dance over everyrthing, suggesting both tranquility and dynamic energy. The soft background provides a serene canvas for the geometric dance to unfold, while the touches of orange infuse the artwork with moments of vibrancy and detail. The artist's seamless integration of abstract elements and geometric precision invites viewers to explore the delicate balance between chaos and order.

STATEMENT

'My religion is to trust myself'. My process involves creating art quickly to produce works which represent a particular moment in time. Years of study and experimentation have made significant contributions to my work. But simply trusting my instincts has encouraged more interesting results and has allowed me to avoid difficulties related to paralysis by analysis. There is often an appropriate amount of breathing between various aspects, layers or gestures within each work. But those breaths are also within the same period of time and space, so each new element still feels and looks like it emanated from materials which came before it.
