This work is inspired by my love of botanical gardens. I've always felt a spirit of energy and renewal when visiting these places. The image is suggestive of developing dragonflies bursting through the watery depths to maturity. The dimensions of the image shown are 18”H x 24”W. This work is matted and framed with a 3" archival white mat (and a 3/4" surrounding the image) in a black metal frame bringing the size to 26”H x 32”W.

STATEMENT
My works on paper are created by combining multiple monotypes into a greater cohesive collage. My imagery is gleaned from organic sources. Plants, flowers and insects combine to create a lush imaginary environment with emphasis on color and and pattern.
