Its been seriously hot lately and it was great to finally get back outside and not feel like I was going to melt. Its the same for all of the local gardens and wild blooms dotting the landscape. Everything has been struggling under the searing heat as well as weeks of dry skies. That said, when it did rain the blooms took full advantage and exploded onto the landscape. The colors are vivid and offer us a reminder of the precious fragility of life. They teach us to savor each moment and use not only our time, but our energy wisely to achieve what is best in life.
