"Silly Love Songs" (2021) evokes a sense of dynamic energy and joy. The composition, seemingly reminiscent of a smiling face, invites viewers to explore the interplay of colors and forms. Bold strokes of black and orange create a visually arresting contrast, while the lines and red dot accent infuse the piece with warmth and vitality. The intentional arrangement of shapes and lines forms an abstract visage that exudes positivity. The artist skillfully balances chaos and order, allowing viewers to discern both the structured elements and the spontaneous expressions within the canvas. It's an emotional spectrum encapsulated within the convergence of abstract elements. The playful dance of colors and shapes invites interpretation, encouraging each observer to find their unique connection to the artwork.

STATEMENT

'My religion is to trust myself'. My process involves creating art quickly to produce works which represent a particular moment in time. Years of study and experimentation have made significant contributions to my work. But simply trusting my instincts has encouraged more interesting results and has allowed me to avoid difficulties related to paralysis by analysis. There is often an appropriate amount of breathing between various aspects, layers or gestures within each work. But those breaths are also within the same period of time and space, so each new element still feels and looks like it emanated from materials which came before it.
