Tranquil or ominous? This 16x20 acrylic piece is painted with loose brush strokes and a palette knife. The blues are deep and bold, but the yellows are soft and buttery leaving you wondering if the landscape is threatening or calm. A moon floats over the horizon and a steep drop off carries the eyes off the edge. The viewer decides.

STATEMENT
Michigan has an amazing color palette, and the change in seasons inspire me. This inspiration is reflected in pieces that are textured or colorful. I also like to play with movement of light and shadows. My favorite subjects to paint are trees and landscape. My favorite tool to paint with is a palette knife.
