Field of Whispers II Mixed Media Collage & Acrylic on Canvas This delicate, dreamlike painting features a collection of random irises I photographed from various gardens over the spring. I've always had a love for the lush and varied textures and colors of irises. For this piece, I chose to paint them in a delicate palette of muted blues with the slightest hint of metallic in the center of the blooms. The result is a truly ethereal painting that is at once dynamic and delicate. Field of Whispers, which measures 12h"x24w", is painted on a 1.5" gallery wrapped wrap canvas. The edges of this panel are painted and it can be hung as is or framed.

For me, one of the greatest experiences is looking at the piece I am working on and realizing I am looking at something no one in the world has ever seen before.
