I love to watch animation especially when inanimate objects are brought to life. My studio is one of many in an old factory and one day I noticed an ancient belt sander that someone had put in a corridor near my studio. I was immediately fascinated by how it was built and how some of the parts could be imagined to be human like. Then it hit me. Of course I could make it come to life. And so they began to dance.

STATEMENT
My work is inspired by my thoughts, feelings, musings and meditations about reality and whether there is such a thing. Who am I and how do I fit into the infinite cosmos? Buddhist teaching says everything is part of everything else just one infinite, timeless oneness and what we call reality is just a dream, a phantom, a drop of dew, a bolt of lightning. I like that thought.
