Prints available at: [email protected] The painting is one of a series of five paintings inspired by the post-impressionists of the mid 20th century including Picasso. The series was initially done in pastel and charcoal which led me to approach the subject in oil paints and oil pastels, with changes made to the final image. I enjoy abstracting the subject even if the image is from my imagination as this one is. I set up a still life in my mind and added a whimsical array of colors and shapes and light effects to get what you see.
