Bright and beautiful, Birch Tree Shadows is a 16x20 gallery wrapped acrylic painting. This piece is not meant to be framed as the artwork is extended on every side of the canvas. The tree on the left wraps around giving the admirer an interesting view. The shadows extend to the bottom and right of the piece. The background is a blend of large brush strokes in greens, yellows and blues, but the trees are more textured as they were painted with a palette knife.

Michigan has an amazing color palette, and the change in seasons inspire me. This inspiration is reflected in pieces that are textured or colorful. I also like to play with movement of light and shadows. My favorite subjects to paint are trees and landscape. My favorite tool to paint with is a palette knife.More About Artist
