Our Angled coffee table/bench is handcrafted from premium-grade cherry. We use . 2″ nominal board thickness and coat with a dull shine conversion catalyzed spray varnish finish. Ships fully assembled. Allow a 6-8 week lead time from our Ohio studio but we always try to deliver more quickly whenever we can. When your piece is ready for delivery, an Embrace Creatives representative will contact you. If you would like to know if your order is likely to be delivered sooner or have a specific time you would like it delivered, please contact sales@EmbraceCreatives.com. If you are within a few hours of Oberlin, Ohio, we can hand deliver your purchase. The other shipping method is LTL (less than a truck load) which is delivered to your curbside address, not brought inside your home.
About Artist
STATEMENT
I began showing my woodwork in 2017. I learned to work with wood from local craftspeople in the Oberlin area, and am largely self-taught. My woodwork design concepts are based on my extensive experience in architectural design and the practical design of physical spaces. Every piece has a function, but also has to have a special feature or pattern. I design the concept for individual pieces, beginning with the form and then integrate details like a special function or patterned combination of woods. The designs involves an iterative process of hand- and machine-tooling in saw/reassemble techniques. In my furniture designs, I use different kinds of joinery including mortise and tenon. All work is my own and each piece is unique.
