BIO

Tricia Soderberg recently moved to Colorado Springs, CO after living and working in Michigan for her entire life. She earned her BFA in painting from Wayne State University in 1976 and has exhibited her work steadily since then. Notable venues include: the Scarab Club; the Detroit Artists Market; 4731 Gallery; Detroit Repertory Gallery; CAID Gallery; Ellen Kayrod Gallery; Lawrence Street Gallery; University of Liggett, Grosse Pointe, MI; The Buckham Gallery, Flint, MI; Kentler International Drawing Space, Brooklyn, NY; and the Ceres Gallery, New York, NY.

Tricia earned a certificate in Interactive Marketing from Walsh College in 2000 and worked as a graphic designer for Aon Corporation in Southfield, Michigan for 27 years. She is a past director of the Willis Gallery and has curated exhibitions for the WDIV studios in Detroit.

The imagery in her current paintings and monotypes is derived from elements of the local landscape and vistas encountered while traveling. Color and composition are important elements in her work.
